Description

The sun had fully set over the mother and son felines, but it was still early in the night, so they stayed out on Sunset Bluff for a couple hours more to talk before finally returning home. Relic accompanied Azrael up to his room, where he changed out of his T-shirt and jeans and put on a simple pair of boxers. Relic smiled to him as he sat on his bed and prepared to lay down. The golden cat turned and took a step out of the room.

"Um...mom?" Azrael spoke up, Relic perked her ears and glanced over her shoulder at him.

"I was wondering if you could...well, sleep in here, with me." Azrael said, looking up at her with an innocent look in his eyes that normally only his younger self would have.

Relic fluttered her eyes and stared to him.

"Why Azrael, you haven't asked for me to sleep in your room since you were 7 and afraid of the dark." Relic spoke.

"I know, but...I just enjoy your company..." Azrael said.

"Heh, after all these years, you're still a momma's boy." Relic snickered.

"Moooom..." Azrael blushed in embarrassment.

"Ah I'm just messing with you kiddo!" Relic walked over to laid comfortably next to Azrael, the 16 year old snuggled close to his mother.

He laid his head down on his arms and gave a soft sigh, closing his eyes.

"I remember...when me and Maria were first born, and you were worried you'd be a bad mom, scared that we wouldn't like you...but you're an awesome mom...I wouldn't want anyone else..." Azrael said, giving a yawn and falling asleep within moments.

"Hmm~ My sweet boy, you have such a soft side...you can't deny that. You can be a tough guy all you'd like, but you're still my little one...and you'll always be my little one. My Azrael..." Relic wrapped her tail over him and laid her head down, shutting her eyes. "I'm so glad I have you...you, your siblings, and your father...my family...I'll love you always."
